Dr. Darryn Remillard is thrilled to join River Road Veterinary Hospital as the Lead Veterinarian. With over a decade of experience in veterinary medicine, Dr. Remillard is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care to pets and their families. A graduate of Tufts University’s Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, he holds both a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and a Master’s in Laboratory Animal Medicine.
Dr. Remillard proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he developed a deep sense of discipline, service, and commitment—values that continue to guide his approach to veterinary medicine today. He also credits his wife, a general practice physician and his “smarter half,” with helping him maintain a holistic perspective on health and well-being for both pets and people.
At home, Dr. Remillard is a proud father of three daughters, four cats, and a flock of backyard chickens. In his free time, he enjoys organic gardening and exploring the outdoors through trail running in southern New Hampshire.
